Sydney Just Scored Two Fine-As-Hell Bubble Tea Stores

Sydney bubble tea aficionados rejoice! Gotcha Fresh Tea, the luxe bubble tea makers originally from Melbourne, has opened two new stores in Sydney with more rumoured to be in the works.

Gotcha Fresh Tea is what happens when you take bubble tea, but make it fashion. The tea is grown and hand-picked on the Gotcha plantation in Taiwan (where bubble tea originated, FWIW) and brewed fresh to order in-store. And then you get to the menu.

Milk teas come in red bean, bamboo charcoal, honey dew, and durian flavours. For fruit teas, think watermelon, passionfruit, lychee and a strawberry macchiato blend. Then there are the teas made with cheese, salted egg, tiramisu foam and even teas with collagen in aloe vera, bamboo and mulberry flavours.

Personally I prefer to keep my teas collagen free but I appreciate that option in this wild world.

Two Gotcha Fresh Tea stores are now open in Sydney, on China Town‘s Dixon Street and inside World Square in the CBD. A third store will open soon near Broadway’s UTS campus, but no date has been announced yet.

A sneak peak at their website suggests there might be even more stores heading to Martin Place, Chatswood, Burwood, Strathfield, Parramatta and the Macquarie Centre, but no official word on those yet. Bubble tea drinkers will just have to make do with the wealth of options now available at the first two stores. Lucky there are a few options, hey?
