Manly’s Getting A Glamping Pop-up So You Can Have A More Stylish 2021

Camping is a whole lot of fun, except for the whole ‘roughing it’ part. Glamping, however, is a dream. It feels more adventurous than a hotel but you don’t have to give up your creature comforts.

Which is exactly the energy the glamping experience, Bedouin on the Beaches, pop-up is bringing to Manly. Not just anywhere in Manly either, on the (usually private) grounds of the very house where The Great Gatsby was set, also where Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban got hitched — St Patrick’s Seminary.

This adults only pop-up, run by Simple Pleasures Camping Co., is bringing ten luxurious bell tents dotted around the lush grounds in April, 2021, with exact dates to be announced.

Each tent is kitted out with lighting, Persian rugs, side tables and a storage chest, as well as a Queen-sized bed (ie. no sleeping bags). There’s also an outdoor table and chairs so you can enjoy the view. There’ll be on-site bathroom and shower facilities too.

Not to mention, each stay will include breakfast on the beach The Boathouse at Shelly Beach — easy walking distance from your tent, as is Manly beach if you fancy a dip while you’re there.

The whole experience will set you back $290 to $330 per night for one couple (depending on peak dates, NYE takes it up to $400), or you can opt for the Champagne and cheese tasting board packages available for. I mean, why the hell not, right? We all deserve a little pampering after the year we’ve had.
