Get Lost In 5 Of America’s Most Beautiful National Parks Without Leaving Your Seat

The US is home to some of the most jaw-dropping scenery you’ll ever see. We’re huge fans, and apparently, so is Google.

To celebrate the US National Parks Service’s 100th anniversary this week, Google has released exclusive tours of five incredible National Parks that you can do right from the comfort of your own home. These online tours aim to show off the “hidden worlds” of the United States, from Hawaii to Utah and all the way to Florida.

If you’re not planning a US trip this year, this is probably the next best thing. Google have put together a bunch of short video segments and creatively shot 360º scenes at the parks’ most interesting locations.

Considering the US has a billion (well, 58) incredible national parks, it would have been hard to choose just five. But Google have done their homework and picked places ripe for exploring – they are Alaska’s Kenai Fjords National Park, Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park, New Mexico’s Carlsbad Caverns National Park, Utah’s Bryce Canyon National Park and Florida’s Dry Tortugas National Park.

You’ll be able to kayak through fjords, deep sea dive in coral reefs, explore caves and get up close and personal with bubbling lava. The experience is available online – but it’s best seen on your phone (if you’ve got one of those cardboard virtual reality viewers it’s even better).

Explore it all here. Be warned: this thing is addictive.
