Celebrate With Your Girls At Sydney’s Galentine’s Day Trivia
Whatever your feelings about Valentine’s Day, the reality is that it’s come around again, meaning there’ll be lots of loved-up couples exchanging gifts and gazing into each other’s eyes over the next 24 hours. But, for the unattached among us, there’s something else worth celebrating: Galentine’s Day.
What’s Galentine’s Day, you ask? Oh, it’s only the best day of the year.
According to our lord and saviour Leslie Knope, Galentine’s Day falls on February 13 – the day before Valentine’s Day, for those of you keeping count – and it’s a time for ditching your other half (if you have one) and celebrating the sisters you surround yourself with. Preferably, with waffles.
But, if you haven’t yet figured out how to celebrate with your closest female friends, don’t panic – Rooty Hill’s Made by the Hill are hosting Sydney’s first ever Parks and Recreation trivia night tonight, and there will be waffles!
Even better, tables are still available, so gather the poetic and noble land-mermaids in your life and kick your competitiveness up to Leslie Knope-running-for-city-council levels. It’s free to attend, but you will need to register online to secure your spot.
In the meantime, remember what’s important in life: friends, waffles, work. Or waffles, friends, work.
