Not One, But Two Pizza Joints Are Giving Away Free Slices This Friday!

Free Pizza! Bimbo & Lucky Coq Are Giving Away Slices This Friday

If you’re in Melbourne, Friday is going to be a great day! Not only is it the start of the weekend (Fri-YAY, amirite), but Bimbo and Lucky Coq are both throwing an hour-long free pizza party!

The restaurants are joining forces for the happy hour to celebrate the fact that their much-loved pizzas now only cost $5 all day, every day.

That’s a great deal, but if you really want to save cash while stuffing your face with pizza, you can head to either (or both) of the restaurants this Friday, November 15 between 5pm and 6pm. Both spots will be giving away free slices of their gourmet pizzas to everyone who walks in the door.

“Putting aside the city’s north-south rivalry, we’re teaming up with our Northside counterpart Bimbo to throw a huge party across Melbourne commemorating the two best pizza offerings in town,” Lucky Coq Venue Manager, Subodh Rajbhandari said.

The pizza menus at these places are pretty similar, with both spots offering classics like Margherita, Calabrese, Agnello and Prosciutto. But Bimbo also serves a Cheesy Steak pizza with thin-sliced steak, caramelised onion, red capsicum, BBQ mayo and cheese sauce.

Meanwhile, Lucky Coq has put a whole darn Halal Snack Pack on a pizza — the LSP (Lucky Snack Pack) has chippies, spiced lamb, garlic, mozzarella and Sriracha sauce.

And don’t even get us started on the dessert pizzas! Get a slice topped with Nutella, mascarpone cream and fresh strawberries from both venues, or grab Lucky Coq’s Reese’s Pizzas, loaded with Reece’s Pieces Peanut Butter Cups and drizzles with mascarpone cream. There are loads more pizzas on the menu, but we’ll keep the mystery alive and let you discover the rest for yourself.

To sweeten the pot even more, both venues’ happy hour runs throughout the event. Get $6 basics, schooners and glasses of house red or white from 4pm to 7pm.

Here’s the catch: there’s a limit of one free pizza per person. As far as catches go, that’s pretty alright.
