This Rooftop Bar In Sydney Is Slinging $1 Dumplings Every Monday Night
Prepare to hear the two sweetest words in the English language: dollar dumplings. Duck & Rice is a brand-new Chinese restaurant that’s just opened on a rooftop in the Sydney CBD, and they’re slinging $1 dumplings every Monday night.
Rock up to the restaurant, perched on the rooftop of Westfield Sydney, any time between 5pm and 8pm to get your hands on the heavenly parcels for a gold coin.
You’ll be able to tuck into eight delicious dumpling flavours, including scallop and prawn, spinach and mushroom and chicken gyoza.

There’ll also be pork and prawn siu mai, har gow and pork and mushroom wontons up for grabs, as well as vegetarian and Vietnamese pork spring rolls, all for $1 each. What more could you want? A rooftop? Well buckle up my friends because that’s part of the package, too.
You can pair your delicious dollar dumplings with skyline views from the restaurant’s rooftop terrace, or sit inside at the swish, art deco bar. But let’s be real — the where is less important than the what and how many can I possibly stomach.

Duck & Rice’s food is inspired by 3000 years of Chinese dynasties, and the menu features a long list of steamed, fried and glazed goodies. The dim sum menu alone could keep you busy for a night (or, you know, several) and then there’s the noodles, rice and classic dishes like roast duck.
You can book a table online, but the restaurant accepts walk-ins for the $1 dumplings. Not a bad way to start your week on a Monday evening!
