You Can Sleepover At A Deserted Shopping Centre This Christmas
Your 10-year-old self had that fantasy where you’re accidentally trapped in a shopping centre overnight, right? Where you jump on all the display beds at Myer, try out all the toys at Toys ‘R’ Us and eat limitless amounts of fro-yo from the food court. Blame it on the creative youthful imaginations (and that one episode of The O.C.) but sleeping over at a shopping centre was pretty much the dream. Happily, in 2015, some great mastermind over at Stayz has created the ~ultimate~ holiday experience – how would you like to spend the night Christmas shopping at Westfield Bondi Junction?
No joke, this is totally happening and it also comes with a $1000 voucher to spend on Christmas gifts – or you know… yourself. One lucky family will take over Level 6 of Westfield Bondi Junction and receive exclusive access to the shopping centre, including a private screening in their 200-seat cinema, an exclusive dining experience and a personal shopper for the night. Guests will also have access to David Jones an hour before the public to beat the Christmas Eve shopping rush with ease.
Sure, plenty of shopping centres are doing extended hour trading this Christmas, but none are offering an actual real life bed to spend the night in.
The room sleeps four, with a queen size bed and bunk beds on offer for guests. They’ll even have access to the “ultimate walk-in wardrobe” (which is really just hundreds of shops at their doorstep).
So how do you bring your 10-year-old self’s dream to life and actually spend a night in a shopping centre? Bookings for the December 22 and 23 will become available at 12pm on Tuesday december 15 on the Stayz website, so if you’re particularly speedy with your booking, this could totally be yours.
