Melbourne has been named the world’s most liveable city by the Economist Intelligence Unit’s Liveability Index for the seventh time, retaining the crown it re-claimed in 2016.

The Liveability Index assesses and ranks the world’s best and worst living conditions using 30 factors across five categories: stability, healthcare, culture and environment, education, and infrastructure. Two other Australian cities — Adelaide and Perth — also claimed a spot in the top 10. Scroll down to see how they ranked.
