Dark Mofo Announce Their First Act

Tasmania’s dark festival of the arts, Dark Mofo, has announced the first act for its midwinter annual celebration of music, large scale public art, food, light and noise.
Internationally acclaimed artist Antony and the Johnsons will perform for two nights on Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 17 of June, joined by the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra in two Australian exclusive performances. Antony and the Johnsons is a musical group presenting the work of English born transgender artist Antony Hegarty and her many collaborators. Previous Mercury Prize winners, Antony and the Johnsons Antony are embedded deep in the art and music worlds having worked closely with artists including Marina Abramović, Lou Reed, Yoko Ono, Boy George, Bjork, Willem Dafoe, Rufus Wainwright and Devendra Banhart.
Antony and the Johnsons with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra will deliver two Australian exclusive performances at Hobart’s historic Odeon Theatre on Tuesday 16 June and Wednesday 17 June, 2015 for Dark Mofo 2015. You can register for pre-sale tickets here.
