Sydney’s OG Cat Café Has Opened A Cinema

catmosphere

Do you love cats? Coffee? What about cult classic movies? If you’ve answered yes to any of these questions, you’re in luck, because Sydney’s Catmosphere is opening a cat cinema.

Yep! Soon, the quirky establishment will screen classic movies like Frankenstein and Plan 9 from Outer Space alongside snuggly kittens and caramel popcorn milkshakes.

Located in Sydney’s Surry Hills, the cinema will open on April 28, showing films every weekend on both Saturday and Sunday nights. Screenings generally run for about two hours, with the movies being shown on an enormous 120-inch screen.

The full list of movies and session times can be found on the Catmosphere website.

The cat cafe opened back in 2015, with a goal to help reduce the number of homeless kitties in Sydney. Visitors can sponsor or even adopt the café’s cats, helping the cute felines find a safe and happy home.

Whether you’re looking for a quick coffee stop or just feel like rubbing the bellies of a few cute kitties, it’s worth stopping by. Screenings begin on Saturday, April 28 and tickets start at $38.50 per person — you can book yours online.
