Brisbane Comedy Festival

Brisbane Comedy Festival has revealed a stacked line-up of 70 local and international acts for the ninth instalment of what is Australia’s fastest-growing comedy festival.

American stand-up comedian Jim Gaffigan will kick off his much-anticipated tour of Australia and New Zealand at the festival, while Irish comedians Jimeoin and Des Bishop will appear alongside Kiwis Cal Wilson and Urzila Carlson. Stephen K Amos, Daniel Sloss and Jeff Green – who’s celebrating 30 years in comedy – are also on the bill.

Aussies Akmal, Wil Anderson, Joel Creasey and Matt Okine appear alongside Celia Pacquola, Mel Buttle, Becky Lucas and Zoe Coombes Marr. New to the festival is Queerstories, an AUSLAN-interpreted evening of stories from LGBTQI Australians disrupting conventional ideas about family, love, and community.
