You Can Now Go Glamping On The Terrace Of LA’s ‘Pretty Woman’ Hotel

For a week back in the early ’90s, Vivian Ward – better known as Julia Roberts – lived it up in LA‘s impossibly swanky Beverly Wilshire hotel, taking bubble baths, sipping champagne, attempting to eat oysters and falling in love with Richard Gere.

While the Pretty Woman plot was imagined, its setting is very real, and, now, guests at the hotel can opt for a glamping on an expansive terrace overlooking the Hollywood Hills and ritzy Rodeo Drive.

The 650-square-metre terrace is attached to the Veranda Suite, which is the only suite in the hotel to consume an entire floor. (It’s also accessed by an original wrought-iron and marble spiral staircase, in place since the hotel opened in 1928.)

But the hotel isn’t skimping on the details just because it’s a tent. Inside, there’s a queen-size bed, a crystal chandelier, decadent décor and antique furniture. There’s also an outdoor fire for if you’re unlucky enough to strike LA on a cold day.

With rates starting at $4470 ($3500USD), it’s definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience. But you best get in quick, because the deal is only available through December.

Or, for fans seeking to be the star of their own love story, the Beverly Wilshire also offers a “Pretty Woman For A Day” package, which includes two nights accommodation in a Specialty Suite, a romantic dinner for two, and a behind-the-scenes shopping tour of Rodeo Drive’s most exclusive fashion houses. You just have to find something in the shop as beautiful as you are.
