Where To Find The Best Vintage Stores On A Getaway To Victoria’s Gippsland

I don’t know about you, but ever since we entered the first lockdown in 2020, I’ve really put an effort into making my home space somewhere I enjoy being. We also saw the effects that humans can have on the environment and the importance of focusing on sustainability. Vintage shopping is not only fun, it’s where those two lessons collide.

An easy drive from Melbourne, Gippsland has a lot to offer — beautiful views, amazing food, relaxing atmospheres — but what you might not know is that it’s actually the perfect place to spend a casual weekend on the hunt for your next vintage piece.

Where To Eat Along The Way

Obviously, you’ll need to stay fuelled on your hunt for vintage treasure, and Gippsland doesn’t disappoint. Stop in for lunch at Hogget Kitchen — just a 15-minutes drive from Yarragon and offering a ‘nose-to-tail dining’ that earned them a chef’s hat.

It’d be a shame to miss out on the delicious wine of the region, so enjoying the epic charcuterie in the cellar door restaurant of Cannibal Creek Winery is a must. Or check out the restaurant at Brandy Creek Estate, maybe even stay for the day spa.
