BigSOUND Festival

Fortitude Valley’s BigSOUND festival is your annual opportunity to discover all that Australian music has to offer. Set over four nights (September 5 to 8), Brisbane comes alive with a global gathering of musicians, bands, media and music lovers. You can purchase night passes for $51, or get a whole week’s worth for $91.

Qantas epiQure Wine Fair

The Qantas epiQure Wine Fair is coming to Brisbane September 16. A rustic industrial warehouse has been converted to a chic, expansive venue for devouring your choice of over 200 premium wines, spirits and gourmet eats. The fair runs from 1pm to 6pm, with Champagne, shiraz, and adventurous varieties masterclasses available for an additional $50 (or 8000 Frequent Flyer points). 

Tickets cost $75 (or 12,000 points) each and are selling quick – get yours here.

Redcliffe Kite Fest

If you’re a fan of aviation and aerodynamics, or are just looking for an excuse to unleash your inner child, you’re in for a treat — Redcliffe Kite Fest is back this from September 26 to 27. Kites of all different shapes and sizes will colour the sky at Pelican Park, and there will be loads of activities, including a ‘karnival’, markets and a jet ski jet pack show.

Adult tickets cost $8, or you can bring the whole family for $20.

Oz Comic-Con

If you consider yourself a bit of a comic book nerd, or just really like dressing up, Oz Comic-Com is back in 2017. The festival will feature the best of comics, anime, Sci-Fi and animation over two days, September 23 and 24. Get your tickets here.

Brisbane Pride

Now in its 27th year, Brisbane Pride Festival is Queensland’s largest LGBT+ event (and Australia’s third-largest) attracting more than 10,000 glittered-up festival-goers every year. The month-long festival boasts loads of different parties and events across the 30 days.

Spring Fling

The ever-classy Spring Fling is on at the Mercure Brisbane on September 12, courtesy of Dress For Success. There will be an art auction, as well as a specially selected range of cocktails and canapes, with stunning views over the Brisbane River as your backdrop.

The Beer InCider Experience

On September 20 to 21, Brisbane Showgrounds will see good brews, rocking music and tasty food over two fun-filled days.The festival will feature 25 brewers, including all your favourites like Stone & Wood, Mountain Goat and Green Bacon Brewing Co.
