This Melbourne Food Truck Is Serving Burgers For 24 Hours Straight This Weekend
There’s no situation where smashing a burg isn’t a viable solution to a problem/break-up/cheat day. And, this weekend, Raph’s Flip-A-Thon will be going down at Beatbox Kitchen in Melbourne, serving up burgers for 24-hours straight.
This precious gift is being given to us by Raph Rashid, the man behind the city’s famous Beatbox Kitchen. That’s the food truck responsible for some of Melbourne’s best burgers, so you know this is going to be good.
From 11am on Saturday, August 17, until 11am on Sunday, August 18, he’ll be making, flipping and serving a special selection of his kitchen’s best burgers. Like the signature Raph Burger, a cheeseburger made with gouda cheese and the secret stereo sauce.

There’ll also be regular cheeseburgers, Shroom burgers and Vege supremes available at whatever ungodly time those cravings hit.
All the money raised during the Flip-A-Thon will go to the Youth Support + Advocacy Service, an organisation that supports young Victorians affected by, or at risk of being affected by, alcohol, drugs, mental health issues and social disconnection.
If you want to support the cause but can’t make it in time for a burger, first of all — we’re thinking of you at this difficult time. But secondly, you can call Beatbox Kitchen on the day to make a donation over the phone. Otherwise, you can find Raph’s Flip-A-Thon at 692 Sydney Road in Brunswick.
Melbourne’s foodie scene has been smashing it lately. Wonka Bar has popped up to celebrate the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory musical premiere and the city just scored a breakfast bar dedicated to gourmet crumpets.
