#1 The water

That picture-perfect ultramarine water looks like heaven right about now and paddleboarding is probably the best remedy for that winter slumber you’ve been stuck in the past few months.

#2 The sand

Nothing beats that soft sand between your toes on a warm summer’s eve. Luckily, Hamilton Island is surrounded by the stuff – you’ll never want to walk on regular ground again.

Is this a postcard or is this real life?

And what’s the best way to enjoy all that the GBF has to offer? By hiring a private plane or chopper of course – be sure to stop off on some secluded islands while you’re at it.

You won’t spot another person for ages at some Hamilton Island beaches so no one will judge you when you pretend you’re Tom Hanks in Castaway and start talking to a volleyball.

#7 The views

Strap on your hiking boots and check out the lush natural beauty of Hamilton Island’s hills. Passage Peak is said to be the hardest of all the trails on the island, but with views like that, it’s so worth it.

#8 The food

Did someone say all-day brunch?

#9 The wildlife

Tropical island means tropical wildlife of course!
