Just A Gallery Of Cute Aussie Animals Being Adorably Into Halloween

Halloween has arrived at the Australian Reptile Park, with some of the zoo’s most adorable – and frightening – creatures getting into the spirit (👻) with a Halloween photo shoot.

Real-life devils of the Tasmanian variety (far better to be honest) cuddle in a pumpkin pot, Daenerys the Komodo dragon investigates a carved pumpkin, and Elsa the koala snuggles inside a grinning pumpkin.

General Manager of the Australian Reptile Park and conservationist Tim Faulkner said, “We’re always looking for the chance to talk about the creepy crawlies and deadly animals here, and what better day than Halloween to celebrate them. It’s the scariest day of the year!”

While terrifying is not the word I’d use (unless it’s of that tiger snake), the animals try their darnedest to get into the Halloween spirit – and some are even rewarded with a pumpkin snack, among their favourite treats.

The Australian Reptile Park is located on the Central Coast of NSW, about an hour north of Sydney. The park recently announced its new Wild Weekends, with new things to see each weekend, including a baby animal show, seeing Elvis the crocodile do a terrifying death roll, the feeding of the  Komodo dragon and other activities to be announced.

If you’re keen for more Aussie animal cuteness, the park also recently released some intimate footage of koala joey Elsa growing up. Brb – I’m Googling “koala pet australia”.
