Attention nerds, Oz Comic-Com is back, and it’s geekier than ever! Running over two days, the festival will feature the best in comics, anime, Sci-Fi, video games and animation.

This year’s line-up is led by Australian actress Dichen Lachman, who’s worked with the likes of Sci-Fi master Joss Whedon and starred in the hit Netflix series, Altered Carbon.

Tickets start at $40 and can be purchased via the Oz Comic-Con website.

Head over to Bare Island in La Perouse this weekend for the Blak Markets — an exploration into indigenous food, history, art and dance. Here, you can find authentic Aboriginal art, like handmade jewellery, textiles and homewares made by local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander creatives. 

Plus, who doesn’t love some bush tucker? On the day you’ll be able get your hands around a kangaroo burger, try some snags made from ingredients native to the lands, and watch expert cooks prepare emu, wild boar and local peppers
