Are You Brave Enough For The World’s Highest Swing?

Everybody knows if you’re looking for an adrenaline hit, your best bet would be to head over to our friends across the pond in New Zealand. But while you’re busy being ~extreme~ and going bungy jumping and parachuting out of planes, what about an activity that’s a teensy bit more low key – like a playful swing ride in Queenstown?

Ha ha, just kidding – this one’s extreme too.

There’s nothing quite like being suspended 160 metres off the ground and then being swung towards the opposite side of the valley at terrifyingly fast speeds. The only thing holding you from falling to your death is a few ropes and a harness – good grief.

Queenstown’s Nevis Swing even lets you to choose the way you’ll swing – upside down and backwards are popular choices, and if you’re flying tandem there’s the side-by-side swing or even some ying and yang action going on. With so many options, how could you possibly choose?

Your 70 metre freefall will then be captured on camera because, well of course it will.

If you’ve still got a little #yolo left in you, right beside the Nevis swing is New Zealand’s highest bungy. They even have a combo deal for the two activities – I mean, if you’re already strapped in, why the hell not?
