Are You Brave Enough For The Tallest Drop Tower In The World?

Sitting at 41 storeys above ground, Zumanjaro: Drop of Doom is where thrill seekers unite – you’ll want to hold onto your lunch for this one.

Zumanjaro

Taller than Big Ben and double the height of the Statue of Liberty, Zumanjaro can be found at the record-breaking Six Flags amusement park in Jackson, New Jersey. With breathtaking views, scary heights, remarkable speeds and a stomach-tightening drop, it’s the ultimate in intimidating rides, but you only live once right?

Zumanjaro

It really seems fitting that this extreme ride is attached to the tallest roller coaster in the world, the Kingda Da. While you’re praying that the drop comes quickly and it will all be over soon, you can hear the screams from the other scared souls on the roller coaster that runs around and above you.

An eight person gondola rides up 126 metres into the sky (at an excruciatingly slow speed, we might add), you sit and wait in strained anticipation, then whoosh – you’re plummeted down at 144 kilometres/hr towards the ground. Fun, right?

Don’t feel too bad about walking away from this one with your tail between your legs. It might be easier to live vicariously through these fearless heroes in this POV video.
