Holy Guacamole! Queer Eye’s Antoni Porowski’s New York Restaurant Is Open
When Netflix’s Queer Eye reboot hit our screens at the beginning of this year, there was a lot of discussion considering if the insanely hot food guy, Antoni Porowski, could actually cook. And look, rightfully so, considering the extent of his culinary skills showed on camera in season one was mashing an avocado with a fork to make some guac.
But all the rumours surrounding Antoni’s cooking abilities can be put to bed in light of the opening of his very own New York restaurant.
[related_articles]54565,64143,65706[/related_articles]After becoming crazy famous from Queer Eye, Porowski announced in June he had plans to open a fast-casual restaurant. Now, it’s a reality, with The Village Den open and ready to feed hungry tummies in the West Village.

The spot has replaced a restaurant of the same name, and describes itself as “at the corner of vegan and paleo”. We reckon it’s safe to say that The Village Den will cater to healthy eaters almost exclusively, which isn’t much of a surprise judging by the rig of the owner.

Because the foods very much cater to paleo and ketogenic diets, the menu consist of loads of nourishing goodies, like protein bowls, salads, smoothies all made with fresh ingredients.

Plus, as you’d expect from a member of the Fab 5, aesthetics have played a major role in the design and layout of the restaurant. It features white walls, wood accents, loads of plants, and pops of dark blue throughout, making it the perfect space for a cheeky Instagram photo op.
