Western Australia’s First Indoor Surf Pool Will Open Next Month

Never again will you have to wait for that perfect swell or run the risk of copping a nasty sunburn. Aloha Surfhouse, Western Australia‘s first ever indoor surf park, opens its doors early next month, offering incredible breaks 356 days a year.

It’s been in the works for more than a year, with more than $6 million invested into the project, and it’s finally about to open to the public.

The surf pool holds 500,000L of water, and the 7m-wide wave it produces has space for five surfers or 12 body boarders. It’s fit for surfers of all experience levels — small swells for novice boarders, or roaring 2m waves for those keen to take it on.

Aloha Surfhouse will also cater to those better suited to dry land, with a rock-climbing course, yoga studio, and fashion and lifestyle boutique all under the one roof.

The finishing touches are still being applied, and it’s set to open seven days a week, 10am to 10pm, from late January, 2018. Stay tuned for updates on the Facebook page.
