Right Here, Right Now, Move It: ‘Aerobics Oz Style’ Is Back!

Aerobics Oz Style On 10 Play

Grab your bike shorts and crop top, turn the TV on (quietly so you don’t wake Mum and Dad), and get ready to move it, because iconic fitness show Aerobics Oz Style is back!

AWOL readers of a certain age will remember Aerobics Oz Style as the iconic fitness program that was on every morning just before Cheez TV, featuring a bunch of lycra clad — and, on reflection, extremely hot — fitness instructors, who got the nation moving before they had their corn flakes and headed off for work or school.

The show ran for 18 years from 1982 — long before anyone had heard of F45 or the keto diet. And in these uncertain times in which we’re all looking for a way to keep fit and healthy while staying inside, the show is making an unexpected return to our TV screens.

It all started thanks to The Project’s Pete Helliar, who joked on a recent episode that channel 10 should bring AOS back to our screens. Well, apparently someone at Channel 10 HQ was listening, and decided to revive a stack of old episodes and whack them up on 10 Play.

All you need to do is sign up to 10 play, and you can find a heap of original AOS episodes that are just waiting for you to step, turn, pivot, pause and squat until you can’t squat no more.

So what are you waiting for? Move it!
