A ‘Jurassic Park’ Theme Park Is Probably Coming To Australia

Rumours started spreading late last year that a new “multi-billion-dollar attraction”, said to rival Dreamworld, was heading to the Gold Coast, leaving many – including us – to speculate that Australia might be getting its own version of Disneyland.

The bad news is that this isn’t happening. The good news is that a new theme park is in fact being planned – but will instead be based on totally the kick-arse movie Jurassic Park (and its many sequels, the most recent being 2015’s Jurassic World, where lead hunk Chris Pratt is literally BFFs with a bunch of velociraptors).

Friends forever.

Seeming to ignore literally all of the film’s warning signs that opening a dinosaur-themed park only leads to despair and terror, Chinese commercial property and cinema chain operator Wanda Group is keen to bring the ultimate dinosaur display to life. The park seems to be in the early planning stages – Wanda Group’s CEO Wang Jianlin is reportedly after a majority share of the company which produced Jurassic World which would allow him the rights to build the park in Australia.

Hopefully this is a matter of when and not if, because as soon as this bad boy opens we are so there.
