A Harry Potter Escape Room Is Coming To Michigan

The outskirts of Detroit, Michigan, aren’t typically the top choice for most travel bucket lists. But this August, Harry Potter fans are readying themselves for a trip to Novi, where a Harry and Hogwarts-themed escape room will be open for business.

Escape rooms are all the rage these days, for good reason: they’re fun, creative, and provide an unusual way to immerse yourself in something a little different.

For the uninitiated, escape rooms are real-life adventure games inspired by “escape-the-room” video games. You’re stuck in the room (or rooms) for a set amount of time, and to escape, you need to solve puzzles using hints and clues found within the room. They’ve been popping up in Australia and all over the world, with every kind of theme imaginable – but a Harry Potter theme might be our favourite one yet.

The organisers haven’t revealed the exact details about ‘The School Of Magic’ (their name for the Harry Potter-themed rooms), but if you’ve read the books, you’ll know there’s quite a few to pick from!

Novi is situated on the outskirts of Detroit, and the Escape Room Novi has previously held themed events including ‘Pirates of the Seas’, ‘Jungle Room’ and ‘St Agnes Asylum’, as well as specific films, such as Cabin In The Woods.
