A Gigantic Legoland Is Coming To Australia

It’s truly a great day for kids, grown-ups with kids and grown-ups who still wish they were kids.

Australia’s first Legoland Discovery Centre will open mid-2017 at Chadstone shopping centre, just a 25 minute drive from Melbourne’s CBD. The centre will be absolutely massive – around 30 normal-sized homes could be squeezed into the 2800 square metre play park. As well as selling the ubiquitous Danish toy building bricks, the centre will also encourage creativity with experiential elements like Lego-building areas, rides, function rooms, a cinema, and a “Miniland” replica cityscape of Melbourne.

The play centre aims to keep kids aged between three and ten entertained for up to three hours at a time. This centre will the the first to open in the southern hemisphere, joining a global network of 15 Legoland Discovery Centres that already exist in North America, Europe and Japan.

While other Legloland stores around the globe have strict ‘no kids, no entry’ policies, it’s never too early to start petitioning for adults-only nights. Who’s with me?
