A Cheese Festival Is Coming To Melbourne Because Life Rules
Oh my curd.
Some words to delight you: Tasty, Blue, Cheddar, Brie, Goats and Soft. These are just some of the varieties of cheese that will be in and around your mouth when Prahran Market in Melbourne hosts its annual Cheese Festival this October.
With tastings, samples and demonstrations at the market’s Blanco Kitchen, the event is a certified cheese-lover’s (weird) dream. Numerous cheese experts are on board including Red Cow Cheese, Calendar Cheese, Cheesemonger, King Island and Anthony Femia.
There’ll also be a cheese-themed pop up market in Market Square with a fondue tent from Milk The Cow and a mac’n’cheese tent from Meatmaiden.
To top it all off, there’ll be a competition on the day (the details of which are yet to be released) with the winner taking home what might be the world’s most glorious prize – a $300 cheese cake from Naheda’s Choice Deli.
It all goes down at Prahran Market on Saturday October 24.
