The team behind the world-renowned Ars Electronica festival have chosen Wollongong as the home of a brand new technology, art and society festival called 3 Festival.

What is 3 Festival?

3 Festival is a four-day cultural celebration of technology, art and society. It’s from the force behind the Ars Electronica festival in Austria and it’s heavily inspired by that highly successful event. Round up your friends and fellow art lovers, this is going to be big!

There’ll be a few pieces brought across from Ars Electronica for a bit of extra pizzazz, but most of the works will be new pieces built by people from Wollongong.

It’s all being put together by Adam Zammit, one of the people behind the dearly missed Big Day Out music festival. Zammit’s goal is for the festival to become a source for distinct, novel ideas and a platform for artists to showcase their existing works. He’s also hinted that there’ll be a few surprising experiences, so sign us up.
