Choose from one of six delicious brekkie options – like the spiced lamb with pomegranate or banana pancakes with caramel sauce – and for two hours, enjoy a package of free flowing mimosas, Bloody Marys or mocktails for $60 a head.

In Brunswick Street Mall’s Beirne Lane Gastropub, the Beirne Brunch Club promises an NYC-style feast across three-hours in its glamorous plant-adorned space. There’s live cooking stations with delights like lamb cutlet, wagyu skewer, chilli tofu and miso cauliflower, along with fruit, pastries, croissants, cheese, antipasto, salads, arancini and croquettes, plus brownies, pavlova and pistachio cake. It’s $49 per person(including a glass of bubbles on arrival) plus additional beverage packages including cocktails.

If you’re after a fancy mid-morning Cantonese banquet alongside pretty river views, then Stanley is the place. For $49 per person, the sophisticated Sunday yum cha promises eats like XO seafood dumplings, barbecue pork buns with chilli jam, stir-fried egg noodles, prawn har gow, scallop siu mai and Cantonese egg tarts for dessert. Their last brunch sessions in November were $99 per person and offered bites like kingfish ceviche and a Fraser Isle crab omelette, accompanied with your choice of five unique spritzes over two hours.

So it’s not Brisbane, but it’s close enough, and you can’t beat a beachside boozy brunch. The Tropic in Burleigh Heads serves up a pretty lush affair. Held on the last Saturday of every month, it’s $129 per person to quaff two hours’ worth of Chandon NV (with an optional upgrade to Veuve Clicquot). Dine on items like freshly shucked oysters, taramasalata, prawn cocktail, puff spiced bread, mortadella and cheese brioche, and two hours’ worth of champagne.

They do Super Sundays: a two-hour banquet and drinks package, which includes Aperol Spritzes, beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks for $50 per person.
