You’ve Gotta Eat This: Cheeseburger Dumplings

What is it? Some food wizard has obviously decided that cheeseburgers need to be fused with absolutely every other delicious food, so you can now get cheeseburger dumplings in NYC.

Where can you get it? Only at the hippest-of-hip dumpling bars in the East Village, Mimi Cheng’s. This chic place is known for its monthly dumpling specials (taco dumplings and cookie dough dumplings have been past contenders) which are always creative and a little kooky.

What’s in it? The filling is modelled after the infamous EMMY cheeseburger served in Brooklyn’s Emily restaurant. The dumplings contain dry-aged pasture-raised beef, aged Grafton’s white cheddar cheese, caramelised onions, crushed pretzels and the signature tangy EMMY sauce. An order of dumplings also comes with an extra side of the addictive EMMY sauce for double dipping.

Is it good for you? I mean, at least you’re not having an actual burger. Right?

How much does it cost? You can choose between pan-friend and boiled, and it’s $8 for 6 and $10 for 8.
