Watch These Very Smart Elephants Help Each Other Out Of A Ditch

Elephants are adored around the world for possessing a smart, gentle nature. But who knew how brave these creatures could be?!

At Cambodia’s Keo Seima Wildlife Sanctuary last week, 11 poor elephants found themselves trapped in a deep, mud filled bomb crater. The Wildlife Conservation Society was promptly called to assist, provided food and water for the struggling animals and built a ramp to help pull them out. But that’s all the help they needed. The rest? The elephants did themselves. Check this out:

There’s no ‘I’ in elephant, folks :’)

The Seima Forest is located at the foot of the Annamite Mountains and is home to over 60 different species of animals, including 150 Asian elephants. It’s a very well preserved, lush green forest and open to visitors who pay a conservation fee on entry. All proceeds go to maintaining the forest and helping conserve the unique wildlife that inhabit the region.
