The Museum Of Ice Cream Has Landed In LA

All over the world, you’ll find unusual and specific museums honouring everything from hair to ramen to toilets to bad relationships. For something a little tastier though, head to Los Angeles stat: a pop-up ice cream museum just opened, but it won’t be there for long.

The LA pop-up follows an extremely successful stint in New York City last year. Entry to the exhibition sold out in just five days, while more than 200,000 people were on a waitlist to get in. Luckily, the organisers heard our cries: the LA pop-up is quadruple the size, and comes with 10 brand new installations.

So what will you find inside this ice cream museum? Well, there’s the interactive ‘banana split’, made from 10,000 ‘bananas’. There’s a mint ‘grow house’, and a California-themed room that will feature a “melted popsicle jungle and a swimmable sprinkle pool filled with one hundred million sprinkles that were custom designed and produced by the museum”.

One hundred million sprinkles. Think about that for a minute.

So, if you happen to be in LA before May 29, head down to 2018 E 7th Place between 11am-10pm on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. Tickets are available now – and yes, they include two “curated” ice cream tastings, and other edible delights for the sweet-toothed among us.

More details can be found right here.
